Why Meditate?

Daily meditation is important for your physical, mental and spiritual well-being. As humans these three aspects of our bodies need equal amounts of attention and training for us to feel whole. When we meditate we allow ourselves to see, from a viewpoint of stillness, areas in our life that need our attention. Meditation also allows us to see the answer's to mend those areas of attention. This allows us to continually adjust to life's changes making us feel that we are keeping up with life rather than a feeling of being left behind. It also is a space for us to ask a question we need an answer for e.g. health, family, money, career etc.

A minimum of 12 minutes a day will leave you with a feeling of direction in your life.

Today is a good day to start. Find a quiet place, sit comfortably, put your thumbs inside your fingers and close your hands, resting them (palm down) on your knees. allowing your spine to be straight and close your eyes for 3-12 minutes while breathing long, deep breaths as gently as possible. This can be done either cross legged or sitting on a chair of some kind. The top of the head should feel as though it wants to go up, thus gently streching the neck and the eyes (closed or half closed) should focus towards the tip of the nose.

Do not over exert any part of the body during the sitting, then we can progress slowly, surely and everlastingly
